Wading on the shore
Most of the time, she held on tight to Mommy's or Daddy's finger, but she did take a few steps wading on her own (with us nearby).

Concentration drool
It was hard finding photo opportunities at the beach because she was concentrating so hard that:
1. She rarely looked up or smiled (she had her thinking face on), and
2. She was drooling like crazy! The strand in this picture goes all the way to the ground!

By the way, she's got four teeth on top with two more on the way, and two on bottom with two more coming in, plus two molars!

Eating cake & ice cream
At her birthday party, Penelope had her own cupcake (one of the caterpillar's feet) and some ice cream. She ate and enjoyed it all!
