Best tooth view yet!

You can see all four teeth in this stylish pose.

This week, P's tried yogurt (with bananas and pears), and gobbled it up. She's eating Cheerios at dinnertime when we go to restaurants now.

She's learning when to clap and when to wave, and loves to bounce. One time she was standing at her hippo/walker and just let go. She was free standing for a few seconds before she fell straight down to a seated position with a loud squeak (a squeaking toy was positioned right beneath her!) For a little while now, she's reliably turned in response to hearing her name, and she's learned to stop when she hears "No." (a lot of the time).

Tooth sighting!

Her two bottom teeth teeth are (fuzzily) visible here! It looks like her tongue is covering the top two teeth (the new ones).

Hey ev'rybody!

I'm having a lot of fun working on my standing and walking -- the other day I almost scaled a wall! I just had my 9-month checkup: I'm 28" tall and 18lbs. They pricked my finger, and I didn't even flinch. I did cry a little when they gave me a shot, but I stopped after a few seconds when I realized it was all done (the nurses were impressed). I'm growing two teeth on the top and two on the bottom now, and I've added mashed potatoes, ground veal, and Cheerios to my menu (I feed myself the Cheerios). I got some cool music and videos for Christmas, and I like singing along and talking about the videos with Mommy and Daddy. Oh, and I've got my first pair of shoes now, for those long walks.

Penelope went to Sunday church for the first time last week. She wasn't the quietest, but she wans't the noisiest, either, so I consider it a success. She hears the guy up front talking on and on, and eventually figures it's her turn to talk. She's also just figured out how to play the kazoo.
